ServiceFour times a year, the Brothers of the New Brunswick Alumni Chspter gather for Kappa Sunday. The chapter chooses a church and all the members of the chapter as well as their families and our Kappa Leaguers attend the church service and worship together. It is an opportunity for us to praise God's holy ways and inform the community of our activities and goals. The chapter also uses this opportunity to be a blessing to the particular churh by providing a donation to the church's scholarship fund.In January of each year, the chapter chooses a congregation and asks that congregation to make a separate offering for the St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennesse. This is a partnership between the fratenity and the nation's largest children's research center and hospital. St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital provides care to chldrena from over the world, free of charge. No child is ever turned away because of an inability to pay for their care. The research done at this facility has provided life-saving medicine to cures to a variety of childhood diseases including cancer. The Brothers, Kappa Leaguers and their families donate time to the Elijah's Promise Soup Kitchen in New Brunswick, NJ. We provide services from food preparation to set up to food service. This is an eye opneing experience to see how those around you can fall on tough times. We serve people of all ages including children.

For over 20 years, the New Brunswick Alumni chapter has used the holiday season to count its blessings and provide blessings to others. The chapter has partnered with the New Jersey Division for Family and Youth Services (DYFS) to provide toys to kids who may otherwise not experience the joys and happiness that the Christmas season brings. We have provided toys for over 30 children each year. Each year, the chapter gathers for its holiday party and wraps toys it has purchased for those kids in need. The number of gifts seem to expans each year. We hope to reach upwards of fifty children i the coming years.
