Welcome to the New Brunswick Alumni Chapter Website of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated. My name is Johari (JP) Powell and I have the distinct honor to serve as Polemarch of this great chapter.
Feel free to navigate through our website to gain an understanding of our grand fraternity, review the rich history of our chapter and learn more about our recent and upcoming events. Founded upon the fundamental purpose of “Achievement in every field of human endeavor,” and guided by high Christian principles, Kappa Alpha Psi has championed the cause of service in the public interest for over 108 years.
Chartered on March 9, 1978 the New Brunswick Alumni Chapter (NBA) continues to serve Middlesex, Somerset and Union counties. Our social and political action programming continue to change lives and transform communities throughout our local footprint. Our Guide Right programming (youth education and leadership training) is nationally recognized and represents our commitment to develop our current day youth into the next generation of professional and community leadership.

THE DIAMOND FOUNDATION INC.
The Diamond Foundation Inc. is the philanthropic arm of the New Brunswick Alumni chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. The foundation develops and supports programs that assist the scholastic and career goals of young people of color with a focus on African-American males. Established in 2003, the foundation have distributed over $200,000 in scholarship and awards and hosts an annual luncheon to raise money and present its Diamond Scholars Awards. The Diamond Foundation also proudly supports the young men of the NBA Kappa League.

NBA KAPPA LEAGUE
The New Brunswick Alumni Kappa League program is a mentoring program for young men from 7th - 12th grade in the greater New Brunswick area. The program was established in 2004 with students from Franklin and Piscataway. The program focuses on issues that affect our young men as we seek to assist them in setting high goals and standards. He want to provide them with the skills needed to reach those goals and beyond. We focus on academic excellence, leadership training, personal growth and development, mental health, mentoring and career development.
